Access Bars Therapy is a gentle, non-invasive energy healing technique that aims to promote relaxation, ease stress, and facilitate positive changes in various aspects of life. It involves touching specific points on the head to release blocked energy and restore balance in thoughts, beliefs, and emotions.

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing.

CRITERIA

• These sessions are free of charge to people and their families affected by cancer in Wigtownshire.  Recipient must reside within DG8 or DG9 post code.
• These treatments are for not only patients but family members, carers and those bereaved by cancer also. 
• The client (or family member) must be within 3 years of a cancer diagnosis.
• Sessions are limited to 6 per person.
